Hello all! I am from NE Ohio and been rallying since 2001. Looking forward to a better finish in the LDX after busting my engine during the HoT Rally. I purchased a 2010 Gold Wing Airbag model with only 5400 miles on the odo for the rally. I am installing the farkles from my 2009 Wing. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the start and finish.
Marty Cover here. From Annapolis MD and veteran of a few rallies. My single claim to fame is that I am probably the oldest rider in the rally with the newest bike. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
@Lewis Ballard I had to go onto my outlook email on the web (not through the app) and add RM email as a contact there to get them to come to my in box. I still get the forum notifications in the spam folder, but it is third party generated.
Hi y'all, now that HoT is done and focus has turned to LDX, just realized this forum existed. I'm Steve Gallant from MA and I'm a rally addict. Had a great time on my first Heart of TX and looking forward to another PT rally and seeing/meeting you all (again). I love riding out west.
Great to hear from you and we look forward to seeing you soon!!!
You created work for me now. I need to see if you're the farthest from the start.... There was a guy from down under inquiring when registration was open, but I can't recall if he registered or not....
Well somehow I just figured out this forum existed. Doesn't look like I'm time barred yet so I'll go ahead and introduce myself. Craig Phillips from Concord NC. I've been rallying for about five years and really looking forward to this one. I ran HOT in 2020 and this team does a fantastic job.
Hello everyone. I'm John from SE Michigan and have ridden a couple day rallies and the Inaugural Underdog Rally. I'm really looking forward to this one and meeting everyone in Cheyenne. Safe travels to all!
Special K 1 is in da house! Woot woot! Ha ha, glad to see you here. Suppose I'll be seeing you in a couple months in Irving? Gonna be fun! Paul's 15 year old daughter needed some time behind the wheel and I needed to scout. Big fun was had on our road trip. BONUS! I had a designated driver!
Hello all. We met Paul at the finish for the IBR last summer.
Marissa and I rode our first rally in the 2013 How the West Was One in Big Sky, MT by the Torters. Our next was the North by Northwest rally last September. We also did the Butt Lite Grand Tour last year. We have done a many 15-20 day trips to Alaska and all over the western US pulling our Bushtec trailer and camping. We are entered into the Westcoast 66 Memorial Day weekend and have another couple that we ride the long trips on also entered.
@Nancy Oswald a "blast" huh? Is that a CLUE?! Will we be visiting sites of historical explosions, dynamite factories, and megaprojects that made extensive use of blasting? If so, that'd be "dam" impressive! :D
Hello. Morris Cox from Brookshire, Tx. Heart of Texas 2021 was my first rally, but I caught the fever. Also rode the BigTex in 2021 and have a full rally season planned for this year. Looking to learn from all of you guys so thanks in advance...
Hello to all. I live in Salt Lake City, UT. Besides the standard IBA certificate rides I've ridden the North by Northwest Rally twice, Big as Texas in 2019, and most recently the Senior Butt Rally. I'm really looking forward to the LDX rally and seeing friends and meeting new ones.
James and Bobbie Jackson from Temple, Texas. Bobbie and I have participated in a few multi-day rallies to include HOT, SBR, and the IBR and look forward to the LDX next year.
Hi Everyone, I'm Nelson and I hail from San Antonio, Tx (REMEMBER THE ALAMO!). I've been away from the rally scene since the 2015 and 2016 HOT rallies. Life has gotten in the way and I have 3 small "bikers in training" that have occupied most of my time. This summer rally comes in at a great time as the family will be vacationing with the in-laws so I get to play! I ride a '13 FJR strictly for LD duties, so I'm looking forward to a great multi-day rally! Thanks in advance to the staff for setting up this rally! Let's roll!!!
I apologize in advance but I'm another Seattle area rider looking forward to this event. This will be the longest multi-day event I've attempted beyond the NNW, HW3, and WC66.
Good afternoon, I’m Joe Ruddy from NE PA. I’ve ridden in a few weekend rally’s since 2013, but this will be my first multi-day rally. Looking forward to see what the RM has in store for us.
Hi. My name is Lew Ballard. In case the username didn't give that away. I like to eat and go the speed limit. My name on most other forums is BigLew55.
I'm from Iowa.
@Kerri Miller , just a reminder that it's bad form to give the RM or their staff ideas about where to send us. 🤣
Nice to meet several of you! I'm staff and about half of you will be 'mine' during the rally so I'll be following you very closely. :-). Be afraid, very afraid!
Good evening. Matt Hube from Southeast Georgia. I've rallied a number of times before, but this will be my first multi-day rally. Will be riding a 2010 Goldwing. Very much looking forward to what I'm sure will be a great experience.
Excited to be here! Im Brady and I hail from the PNWet region of the country (Washington) . I ride a 2016 FJR and this will be my first time in a Paul Tong rally.
Hi Brady! I ride an FJR too! Mine is a tad older, but I still love her. Just to be clear, while there are many staff duplications from Heart of Texas, it isn't really part of the Heart of Texas series. No harm, no foul, just letting you know! We will see you soon(ish)! Unless you do actually do the 2022 HoT, then we'll see you sooner! :-)
I am relatively new to the Rally World, having only ridden in the "Been There, Done That" rally in 2020, and the 2021 "Heart of Texas" rally.
My current rally bike is a 2016 Triumph Trophy SE, with a Maple Farkles aux tank and a set of Cyclops aux lights. I am using two GPS units (Zumo XT), and have mounted a rather large box on top of the aux tank. Other than a Russell Day-Long saddle, it is pretty much stock.
I am looking forward to gaining insight and information from all of you!
Howdy! I'm based in the Pacific Northwet, where we have 129 different words for rain and 47 varieties of hops. I like puppies, bright colors, and maple syrup. Growing up in New England, I've only been to two Waffle Houses in my life.
Ola, I am a rider from the High Plains up here in Amarillo Texas. I've been enjoying the Rally fun since 07'. Can't wait to run down the bonus locations during the inaugural LDX. It's going to be an adventure.
Great. Looking forward to finally participating in a Paul Tong rally after a false start in last year's HoT. James Epley from Virginia (transplanted Texan).
Greetings! Tim Allen here, living in western Washington and excited there is a new multi-day rally to enjoy. This will be my first adventure with the Heart of Texas group, too.
Hey everybody, I'm Bruce and I'll be coming from suburb outside of Chicago. My first rally with the Heart of Texas group. Can't wait to find out where we're headed and what strange & interesting places we'll see.
I'm Nick. Live in VA. Done a few rallies with the Heart of Texas rally being the longest to date (finished mid-pack). Doing OK but still not close to the 'big dogs'. Looking forward to this rally.
Nice to 'see' you in here, Nick. We like all dogs, not just the big ones. From staff perspective, folks who are excited to participate are awesome, we don't care where you finish
Good morning to all. Paul Partin here from OKC.

Hey Y'all!! Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Looking forward to a nice ride from Charleston, South Carolina to Cheyenne to meet up again.

Ha ha. You weren't so bad. Though I probably shouldn't try to motivate you to do um, better? Worse?
